Construction Superintendent

Top Boston-based construction frim has immediate opening for a Super. Hands on management on-site combines with office duties, coordination with vendors, subcontractors and the Project Manager. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develops and maintains working relationships with the project’s building officials and inspectors and is responsible for scheduling.
Identifies and makes recommendations to Project Manager regarding project risks, site conditions, changes, safety issues, etc.
Supervises and monitors work of all hired trades, carpenters and laborers.
Reviews all subcontractor and vendor progress payment requests.
Manages the terminations and hiring of replacements and when and where necessary for non-performing employees.
Prepares punch lists and ensures completion of all related work prior to inspections and product acceptance.
Inspects subcontractor’s work to ensure proper standards are being met.
Creates, maintains and updates project schedules and reports of progress and project completion status.
Oversees and manages the timely ordering, delivery and storage of materials required to construct and complete the project in accordance with schedule.
Monitors subcontractor compliance with project safety policies and program. Manages the site condition to ensure a safe work environment.
Collaborates and maintains professional relationships with third party consultants and inspectors.
Understands and maintains high standards in compliance with applicable health and safety rules and regulations, as well as local, state, and federal laws.
The Ideal Candidate:
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field.
5-15 years experience.
