We are seeking a highly skilled
Benefits Specialist
to join our team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employee benefits administration. This role is best suited for someone who has supported benefits functions in a
larger corporate environment.
Pay: $30- $35/ hour
Location: Irvine, CA.
Duties:
Analyze, audit, reconcile and process monthly invoices and track budgets.
Process benefits reimbursements.
Upload employee information to medical reimbursement plan carrier for new hires/promotions.
Attend weekly meetings with carriers
Reporting for Finance
Review and approve employee enrollments including qualifying life events, audit employee benefits eligibility and process COBRA.
ACA compliance in preparation for 1095-C's.
Respond to emails in Benefits inbox
Monitor and resolve carrier file feeds, error reports and enrollment issues.
Educating team members on their available benefit offerings including but not limited to the group health plans and life/disability insurance.
Update and distribute compliance posters
Perform other duties as assigned as it relates to the Benefits department.
Desired Experience:
Previous experience and knowledge of laws and regulations that govern benefits administration.
Strong attention to detail is crucial when managing benefit records, claims and compliance.
Experience working with Brokers and Vendors.
Skills:
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
