Overview
The Pastor / Director for Youth & Family Ministries will lead our ministry from birth to young adulthood and include the following duties: Directly lead the youth ministry and manage a team of volunteer youth leaders. Nurture the spiritual formation of our youth through relationships and programs. Equip and send youth to participate in God’s mission in their everyday lives. Connect with unengaged youth in our city and church. Partner with Children’s Ministry Coordinators and guide volunteers. Join with Children’s Coordinators to develop a shared vision for Family Ministries. Continue recruiting and developing multigenerational volunteers. Cultivate intergenerational relationships among children, youth, and adults. Help families navigate current issues of life and faith. Implement Fairview’s discipleship pathway from birth onward. Advocate for the Youth and Family Ministries as well as Fairview’s mission. Qualifications
We are prayerfully seeking someone who: Demonstrates personal maturity including the character of a biblical leader (1 Tm. 3:1-7; Ti. 1:5-9; 1 Pt. 5:1-4) and a deep, abiding relationship with Jesus. Affirms ECO’s Essential Tenets and Reformed theology. Bachelor’s degree required. Seminary training preferred. Has 1.5+ years of experience working with students. Participation in preaching rotation expected; musical participation welcome if applicable.
