Purchasing Specialist - West Palm
Work type: Full time, onsite, contract to hire Location: West Palm Beach, FL Pay: $22-24/hr Responsibilities
Oversee procurement and inventory control for raw materials, components, and supplies in the pump rental business. Maintain up-to-date vendor pricing and manage supplier relationships. Optimize inventory levels to reduce costs while meeting production schedules. Identify opportunities for vendor consolidation and alternative product sourcing. Handle ordering, receiving, and inspection of parts. Monitor supplier performance for quality and delivery compliance. Analyze market and delivery systems to ensure material availability. Resolve vendor grievances and claims. Conduct regular inventory audits and implement corrective actions. Prepare and manage the department's budget. Develop risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions. Report daily to the Purchasing Manager on production requirements and purchase order status. Qualifications
Experience in purchasing, inventory control, or supply chain roles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of procurement, warehousing, and material handling operations. Strong analytical skills for inventory management and strategic recommendations. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate with production, sales, and finance teams. Problem-solving skills and capability to manage complex projects. Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
