Position Type: 90 day Contractor trial period, with potential transition to full-time employee (PTO, benefits, 401k)
Expected Hours: Approximately 30–40 hours per week depending on event schedule
About the Role
We are seeking a
Head Floral Designer / Studio Lead
to help lead the design and execution of weddings, events, and retail floral work for our growing floral studio.
This role is ideal for a designer with 5+ years of professional floral experience who is ready to take on a leadership role in a collaborative and creative environment.
You will work closely with our Studio Manager to execute weddings and events while maintaining a high standard of design quality and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities Floral Design & Production
Lead floral production for weddings and events
Design bridal bouquets, centerpieces, installations, and large event pieces
Develop floral recipes and design plans based on client proposals
Ensure consistent design quality across all projects
Produce arrangements and bouquets for retail sales when needed
Client Design Support
Participate in lead design consultations
Assist Studio Manager with design direction for proposals
Help refine floral concepts and recipes based on client vision
Occasional retail facing role as needed
Event Execution
Lead wedding and event installations
Supervise install crews and assistants
Coordinate load-in and breakdown logistics
Assist with event strikes when needed
Work closely with Studio Manager to plan weekly production
Help train junior designers and studio assistants
Maintain organized design and production spaces
Typical schedule will include: Wednesday through Saturday, with occasional Sunday dependent on event coverage
Hours fluctuate depending on wedding volume, typically 30–40 hours per week during peak season.
Requirements
5+ years professional floral design experience
Strong portfolio of wedding and event floral work
Experience creating floral recipes and production plans
Comfortable leading event installs and managing setup teams
Ability to lift 40+ pounds
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a delivery van
