Job Summary
We are seeking a
Senior PeopleSoft Technical/Functional Consultant
with strong
PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 experience
to support the implementation and integration of
Positive Pay banking functionality . The consultant will work closely with functional teams while providing hands‑on technical development, integration, and troubleshooting expertise within the PeopleSoft environment. This role requires deep experience with
PeopleSoft architecture, development tools, integrations, and financial system interfaces , particularly involving banking systems and external applications. The consultant will support development, production troubleshooting, integration design, and system enhancements within a large enterprise government environment. The position requires
10+ years of relevant PeopleSoft experience
and participation in
on-call support as needed . Key Responsibilities
PeopleSoft Development & Technical Support
Perform
PeopleSoft development and customization
using PeopleTools and Application Designer.
Develop and maintain
Application Engines, PeopleCode, and integrations
within the PeopleSoft Financials environment.
Review and analyze existing
PeopleSoft code and customizations
to identify root causes and system issues.
Provide
production support and troubleshooting
for PeopleSoft financial applications.
Integration & External Systems
Design and implement
integration solutions between PeopleSoft and external systems .
Develop
custom inbound and outbound interface files
for banking systems and other external applications.
Work with
Integration Broker, Web Services, and Enterprise Integration Points (EIPs) .
Support
Managed File Transfer (MFT) and other file movement tools
used for external system integrations.
Functional Collaboration
Work closely with
functional teams and business stakeholders
to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Identify
integration points between PeopleSoft modules
and ensure consistent data flow.
Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, and implementation planning.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Utilize
PS Query and SQL
to analyze system data and support troubleshooting.
Research
PeopleSoft tables and structures
to support reporting and functional analysis.
Testing & Documentation
Participate in
PeopleSoft lifecycle testing , including system testing, integration testing, and validation.
Develop documentation for enhancements and changes including: Requirements
Configuration details
Code modifications
Test cases
Risk assessments
Alternative solution options
System Architecture & Environment Support
Work within
Oracle database and Windows server environments
supporting PeopleSoft applications.
Ensure system integrations align with enterprise architecture and security standards.
Communication & Project Support
Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of system enhancements.
Provide clear written and verbal communication regarding technical solutions, risks, and project status.
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of experience with PeopleSoft Financials (FIN 9.2) .
Strong
PeopleSoft development experience .
Experience working with
PeopleTools and Application Designer .
Expertise with
Integration Broker, Web Services, and Enterprise Integration Points (EIPs) .
Strong proficiency in
PS Query and SQL .
Experience designing
integration interfaces with banking and external systems .
Knowledge of
PeopleSoft module integration points .
Experience reviewing
PeopleSoft code to identify root cause issues and customizations .
Experience working with
Oracle databases and Windows server environments .
Ability to work effectively with both
technical and functional teams .
Preferred Skills
