Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Charleston, South Carolina Metropolitan Area for an Import Specialist. The Import Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating import logistics, ensuring timely and accurate documentation, and maintaining compliance with international trade regulations. Daily tasks include handling customer communication, facilitating customs clearance processes, coordinating with partners and vendors, and resolving shipment-related issues efficiently.
Qualifications
Proficiency in handling Import, customs processing, ISFs, domestic transportation
Strong understanding of International Trade, including customs regulations and global logistics practices
Excellent Customer Service skills with the ability to manage client inquiries and resolve issues promptly
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to manage shipment documentation and deadlines
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Familiarity with industry software and tools is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field is preferred
Previous experience in a similar role in the logistics or freight forwarding industry is an advantage
