
Continuous Improvement - Kitting Specialist

Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated and innovative Continuous Improvement Specialist for a kitting factory located in Newark, California. This role is essential for driving process improvements and fostering a culture of operational excellence. The focus will be on identifying efficiency opportunities, implementing best practices, and enhancing productivity across the factory.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity, quality, delivery, cost, and safety in the kitting factory.
Analyze current processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and increase efficiency.
Responsible for file creation for digital machines.
Develop, document, and implement Kaizen projects to optimize production processes and reduce waste.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and ensure alignment with company goals.
Train and mentor new employees on continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and impact of improvement initiatives.
Facilitate training sessions to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Support innovation and new product development by defining manufacturing processes to support the introduction of new products and solutions.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and project management abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in data analysis and process mapping tools.
Minimum Experience and Education Requirements Education
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
Experience
2 - 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings/documents.
Experience working with corrugate, foam, and/or other traded materials.
Proven experience in a continuous improvement role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in packaging or kitting.
Languages
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Ability to speak Spanish is helpful.

Environment
Competence/experience in ISO 14001.
Knowledge of ISO 14001 Processes.
Knowledge of Waste Management Process.
Knowledge of waste separation system existing in the company.
Required Work Hours Monday to Friday, 1st shift
Benefits Pay is $28.00 per hour, with an annual range of $56,000 to $58,240.
