Events Manager

to joinour team and oversee seamless event execution.

The Cruiseport Gloucester Events Manager is responsible for theentire event lifecycle, from the initial client inquiry to thefinal execution of the event. This role focuses on selling,planning, and managing weddings and other special events,ensuring a seamless experience for our clients and their guests.The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, self-motivatedprofessional with a deep passion for hospitality and a proventrack record in wedding and event sales and coordination.

Essential Functions

Lead engaging and informative site tours for prospectiveclients, showcasing the beauty and unique features of ourproperty in accordance with Beauport Hospitality Group (BHG) guidelines.

Manage the entire sales pipeline from inquiry to contract,maintaining organized files and ensuring prompt, professional follow-up.

Expertly present our food and beverage options, creatingdetailed, customized proposals and contracts for clients.

Serve as the primary client contact, building strong,trusting relationships to understand their vision and exceedtheir expectations throughout the planning process.

Generate and service all aspects of wedding events,including event space design and food & beverage selections.

Produce comprehensive Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) anddetailed floor plans to ensure flawless communication andexecution by our operations team.

Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors tomanage event timelines and the complete production of the event.

Oversee event setup and execution to ensure every detailaligns with the client's vision and our high standards.

Experience and Skills

A minimum of 2-4 years of progressive experience in Catering,Hospitality, and Event Management.

Direct experience managing weddings from sale to execution ishighly preferred.

Bachelor’s Degree in Events, Sales, Hospitality, or a relatedfield is preferred.

Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs.

Strong knowledge of industry-relevant Catering Sales Systems(Caterease experience is a plus) and room diagramming software.

Knowledge of sales and event operations in a high-end hospitality environment.

Demonstrates sound logic and judgment in evaluating situations andmaking decisions.

Is a self-directed, motivated, and adaptable individual with aconsistently positive attitude.

Has a flexible schedule and is available to work weekends andholidays as dictated by the event calendar.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This role primarily operates at theevent venue, includingfront-of-house, back office, event spaces, and kitchen areas.

The position requires the ability to stand for up to 8 hours andlift up to 30 lbs.

Work includes a mix of collaborative group projects andindependent tasks.

We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits packagedesigned to support our team members.

Salary range is $60,000–$65,000 per year, commensurate withexperience, with additional event-based compensation.
