Overview
The Director of Business Development & Acquisitions is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing growth opportunities for the organization's senior living and service portfolio. This role leads market expansion efforts through acquisitions, affiliations, joint ventures, management agreements, and strategic partnerships across independent living, assisted living, memory care, and related senior housing and service models. The position works cross functionally with finance, operations, legal, real estate development, executive leadership, and Ebenezer Board of Directors to assess strategic fit, financial performance, operational readiness, and long-term value creation. The Director plays a key role throughout the full transaction lifecycle—from sourcing and underwriting through due diligence, closing, and transition to operations.
Responsibilities
Proactively identifies and sources senior living growth opportunities, including acquisitions, joint ventures, affiliations, and management contracts.
Originates and sources new development opportunities, including conducting outreach to developers and investors, identifying and evaluating land acquisition prospects, and engages with municipal staff and other public sector stakeholders to advance potential projects.
Builds and maintains relationships with owners, operators, brokers, lenders, developers, and industry partners.
Represents the organization at industry conferences, networking events, and stakeholder meetings.
Leads initial evaluation and screening of potential transactions, assessing strategic alignment and value creation.
Evaluates operational performance, occupancy, rate structures, expense profiles, and capital needs of target communities.
Travel Required: Regular travel, including overnight travel, to organizational sites, potential market expansion opportunities and regional or national engagements as necessary to support operations and represent the organization internally and externally.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Finance, Real Estate, Business, Healthcare Administration or related field
7 years in business development, acquisitions, real estate, or investment roles, with a strong preference for senior living, healthcare, or real estate sectors.
Driver's License in good standing

The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions.
