Summary The Senior Manager - Finished Vehicle Business Development (EPC Sales) is a senior business development leader responsible for driving sales growth, market expansion, and margin improvement across the High & Heavy, construction equipment, and EPC project logistics sector.
This role is accountable for originating and closing new business, expanding strategic EPC and OEM relationships, and positioning the company as a preferred logistics and transportation partner for complex, oversized, and project-driven cargo. The role requires strong industry presence, disciplined pipeline management, and the ability to convert customer requirements into commercially sound and operationally executable solutions.
Reporting directly to the Senior National Sales & BD Manager, this position plays a critical role in revenue acceleration, with particular emphasis on transportation services development to rapidly generate revenue while maintaining healthy margins.
Responsibilities
Growth & Business Development
Drive new business acquisition and revenue growth within the High & Heavy and EPC construction equipment vertical
Identify, qualify, and pursue greenfield opportunities through direct prospecting, relationship development, and targeted sales calls
Build and maintain strong relationships with EPCs, OEMs, equipment manufacturers, contractors, and project owners
Represent the company at key High & Heavy, EPC, and project cargo conferences across the U.S and selected international markets to generate pipeline and elevate brand presence
Develop and execute account-specific growth strategies focused on volume expansion, service diversification, and long‑term partnerships
Lead RFQ/RFP and bid submissions, including commercial strategy, pricing, risk evaluation, and solution design
Own the end‑to‑end cycle, from opportunity identification through contract execution and operational hand‑off
Ensure pricing strategies support target margins, scalability, and long‑term profitability, with particular focus on transportation services
Transportation Services & Revenue Acceleration
Actively develop and expand transportation service offerings (ocean, inland, multimodal, project transport) as a core revenue driver
Rapidly convert transportation‑led opportunities into near‑term revenue and sustainable margin
Partner with operations to optimize cost structures and improve commercial competitiveness
Engage in the creation of the broker model for GUS under the Transportation space
Operations Coordination & Execution Alignment
The Senior Sales Manager will coordinate closely with Operations, Engineering, Port Operations, and Finance to ensure service deliverability, accurate reporting, strong account management, and the fulfillment of all operational and contractual commitments
This role is responsible for supporting a smooth transition from sales to execution, working cross‑functionally to align commercial commitments with operational capabilities and ensuring customer expectations are consistently met or exceeded
The role requires the preparation of regular reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates to keep leadership informed of commercial progress, risks, and opportunities
This person will also provide ongoing market intelligence related to competitors, customer strategies, and industry trends to support informed strategic decision‑making
Strategic & Organizational Support
This person will contribute to national growth initiatives, service portfolio development, and network expansion discussions, supporting broader organizational objectives
As appropriate, the role will also assist with mentoring, collaboration, and knowledge‑sharing across the Business Development team
Other duties as assigned
Compensation Range $118,000 - $134,000/Per Year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)
