The Analyst and Medical Writer positions are ideal for recent graduates in the sciences, and those with experience in scientific research, who are seeking to apply their knowledge to real-world projects. Analysts and Medical Writers work on projects involving detailed analysis of data from clinical trials and the assimilation and creative presentation of this analysis in formats including posters, slide sets, value dossiers, reports and peer‑reviewed publications. These deliverables are used directly by clients in communication with external stakeholders, instrumental to the uptake of novel therapies. The work is structured on a project-by-project basis across three or four projects at any one time in various high‑profile disease areas and products, offering a range of work and skill development opportunities. You will work in project teams with experienced colleagues who will provide training on the technical aspects of the role, project management, and client communication. Delivering project work requires close collaboration with clients, and after a successful induction you will participate in teleconferences and client meetings, which may involve travel within the US and internationally. You will be based in our Boston office. This role supports shaping the US operations and involves collaboration with our Scientific Director and other senior colleagues in the US and globally. Costello Medical is structured into teams focusing on Medical Communications, Evidence Development and Market Access. You will join one of these teams but may work on projects in other areas. Medical Communications – Medical Writer Medical Communications encompasses publications and medical affairs projects, with Medical Writers having the opportunity to work across these areas or specialize in one. Publications

projects involve working with clients and leaders to produce publications that communicate clinical data to a wide audience, including abstracts, manuscripts, posters and oral presentations for international congresses, with possible on-site support. You may also work on regulatory documents, lay summaries and policy publications. Medical affairs

projects bridge clinical development and commercial functions, with a focus on patient and healthcare professional education and informing clinical decision making. You will collaborate with clients and expert advisors, with some events requiring on-site support and international travel. You will develop strong scientific, creative and writing skills and gain knowledge across therapy areas. The ability to creatively present scientific information is central. Market Access – Analyst Our Market Access team supports clients in demonstrating clinical and economic value for new technologies. Work includes evidence generation, literature reviews, advisory boards, and economic modelling to inform global materials that present value persuasively. This role suits those passionate about patient access, fast learners with strategic and problem-solving mindsets, and strong writing skills. Evidence Development – Analyst The team conducts literature reviews, synthesis projects, and real-world evidence projects. Literature reviews may include systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and reporting in engaging formats. Real-world evidence involves study design, data acquisition and analysis, and dissemination. We are looking for collaborative, self-motivated individuals with a passion for scientific writing, suitable for entry-level or with some experience. Essential requirements include: Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (minimum GPA 3.3) with life sciences coursework Excellent written and spoken English Ability to communicate scientific material clearly in writing and speaking Strong understanding of scientific concepts Attention to detail Experience with scientific writing (dissertations, reports, posters, publications, etc.) Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Excellent organizational skills and time management No previous sector experience is necessary; however, genuine interest in healthcare and willingness to learn is important.
