The Title Specialist is responsible for processing and managing vehicle titles and related documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. This role involves verifying accuracy of title paperwork, maintaining records, and coordinating with customers, dealerships, and financial institutions. The Title Specialist ensures timely completion of title transfers, lien releases, and registration processes while providing excellent customer service and supporting the overall efficiency of the business office.
Responsibilities
Verifies and ensures accuracy of recorded information, forms, license number/vin information etc.
Verifies that all documents are approved, signed and distributed according to established procedure
Serves as a point of contact for employee/customer questions about policies and procedures
Works exception queues and updates and validates title and other exceptions in the system
Assists vendors, dealers, and other third parties with questions about processes, status and issue resolution.
Take Payments, answer phones and emails in a timely manner.
Completes title packets within given states requirements and deadlines.
Assist with other administrative tasks as needed within the business office.
Stay updated on state and federal title regulations and ensure compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED and 3 years experience in a related field.
Or the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and up to 1 year of experience;
Or 5 years experience in a related field
