The Deposits 2.0 team is dedicated to developing innovative solutions aimed at modernizing our core deposits products and platform. Our roles involve cross-functional collaboration to achieve business objectives while prioritizing the customer experience. You will be involved in launching successful software products for consumer-facing companies by designing and implementing creative solutions to complex yet exciting challenges.

As a Senior Product Associate in Deposits 2.0, you contribute to the team by leveraging your expertise in product development and optimization to make a significant impact, supported by user research and customer feedback to fuel the creation of innovative products and continuously improve existing offerings. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our products and ongoing success.

Job responsibilities

Partners with the Product Manager to identify new product opportunities that reflect the needs of our customers and the market through user research and discovery

Considers and plans for upstream and downstream implications of new product features on the overall product experience

Supports the collection of user research, journey mapping, and market analysis to inform the strategic product roadmap and provide insight on potential product features that provide value to customers

Analyzes, tracks, and evaluates product metrics including work to time, cost, and quality targets across the product development life cycle

Writes the requirements, epics, and user stories to support product development

Works with business application owners and development teams to define business requirements, lead scope definition, drive technical implementation, end to end testing, and operational readiness

Writes and maintains epics and stories in JIRA, evaluating readiness and outcomes, and proceeding with additional iterations, develop and prioritize a product backlog, and lead collaborative scrum events (backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint review and sprint retrospectives)

Focuses on customer, business, and technical experiences while helping design and establish interoperability and migration patterns for the new Deposits ecosystem

Establishes relationships with supporting partners to provide insight into upcoming changes and identify their interoperability and migration requirements, risks, and impediments as early as possible

Supports customer migration planning and execution as we transition from legacy Deposits to Deposits 2.0

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area

Proficient knowledge of the product development life cycle

Experience in product life cycle activities including discovery and requirements definition

Developing knowledge of data analytics and data literacy

Working knowledge of online and batch interfaces, middleware, and data strategies within modern architectural contexts.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills including the ability to translate technical concepts into business value

Highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and proactive in driving complex initiatives forward

Proficient in JIRA and other work management tools – especially those requiring data structure setup.

Excellent oral and written communication and presentations skills across various stakeholders and senior management; ability to synthesize large amounts of information, summarize key concepts and articulate relevant issues to senior management

Ability to deal with different stakeholder groups to elicit business requirements, processes and data trends

Ability to work in a high-paced environment, be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize, and prioritize work with minimal oversight

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Experience in the Retail financial industry including banking products, payments, or fintech experience a plus.

Prior experience with systems migrations or modernization a plus.
