SAIC is seeking a highly accomplished professional with a demonstrated and sustained track record of leading and winning large, complex government contracting pursuits—particularly single-award deals exceeding $750 million. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience successfully submitting pursuits each year totaling over $1.5 billion in value. A broad range of experience is desired combining expertise in traditional federal acquisition regulation, assisted acquisition, other transaction authority and commercial based acquisitions with a strategic, proven approach to capture management. The Senior Director, Capture Management, will develop and execute the overall capture plan and strategy for strategic opportunities resulting in winning new business.
Key Responsibilities
Capture Leadership: Own the end-to-end capture process for high-value, complex enterprise opportunities while aligning with SAIC’s growth strategy and business objectives.
Strategy Development: Create and implement innovative capture strategies that differentiate SAIC’s solutions in the competitive landscape.
Team Coordination: Lead multidisciplinary teams, including proposal managers, solutions architects, pricing strategists, and SMEs, ensuring all stakeholders deliver toward shared objectives.
Customer Engagement: Foster and maintain trusted relationships with government customers, partners, and stakeholders at executive levels to understand mission needs and buying behaviors.
Competitive Analysis: Conduct detailed market research and competitor analysis to identify strengths, gaps, and positioning opportunities for SAIC.
Win Plan Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive win plans leveraging SAIC’s methodologies, resources, and past performance, resulting in successful enterprise capture outcomes.
Metrics & Reporting: Regularly assess progress against key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide executive-level reporting.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field and 18 years' experience.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in capture management with an organization focused on large, US government prime contracts.
Demonstrated success in leading enterprise captures with values exceeding $750M+, particularly in areas such as IT modernization, digital transformation, AI/ML solutions, cloud services, cyber, and advanced engineering services.
Deep understanding of federal acquisition processes, contract vehicles, and procurement trends (e.g., GWACs, ID/IQs, BPAs, OTAs, CSOs).
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive-level presentation skills.
Strong leadership and team-building capabilities, with the ability to guide large, matrixed teams across multiple disciplines.
Ability to obtain and maintain relevant security clearance, if required.
Preferred Qualifications
Extensive experience with DoW, Civilian, and/or Intelligence Community (IC) customers.
Proven track record of capturing and winning single-award, enterprise-level, full-and-open competitive contracts.
Experience winning new business with government customers through commercial acquisition models.
Expertise in leveraging digital tools, data analytics, and CRM systems for capture management.
Professional certifications such as PMP, APMP, or equivalent.
Target salary range: $200,001 - $240,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
