This is a Full Time position in the field of Post Production - Editing, Compositing, Motion Graphics, & Visual Effects , located in Los Angeles, CA . The position pays $80,000.00 — $110,000.00 per year . Position: Assistant Video Editor Location: Remote, though must be located in North America and able to work Pacific Time hours Reports to: Lead Editor Salary: $80k-$110k base, 401k with 3% company matching after 1 year (applies for US only) $40K/yr contract outside of US/Canada Benefits: Health/Dental insurance (applies to US only) Overview Hi there, we are Sam and Colby! What you will be doing You will be an assistant editor on the main Sam and Colby channel, though you’ll frequently help with many other projects Cut, trim, and arrange footage. Add graphics, titles, transitions, sound effects, music, etc. Stay updated on the latest YT editing trends and techniques to increase engagement (and to appease the algorithm gods) Add your creative flair to all videos. While we have a style and format we stick to, we’re always looking for ways to innovate and make the content better! Work directly with Sam, Colby, and the other members of our creative team to release content that continues to grow our YouTube channel and other social media channels What you bring While this is a remote position, you must be located in North America so that your work schedule can sync with our teams in the Pacific Time Zone You live in North America At least 2 years of experience working in Adobe Premiere You have experience in editing fast-paced and long-form videos Skilled in editing, pacing, sound design, and color You have a genuine passion for YouTube and the creator ecosystem Application Requirements (please send the appropriate link for each item below) Provide a link to your portfolio A significant part of this role involves selecting and editing b-roll.
