Overview
The Associate / Vice President will be responsible for originating, structuring, and executing LATAM-only solutions for onshore financial institutions (banks, asset managers, insurance companies), local sovereign/quasi-sovereign clients, and offshore LATAM-focused real money/hedge funds, with a focus on funding, derivatives, rates, FX, and asset-side ideas. The role partners closely with Sales, Trading, and Coverage teams to deliver customized structures that address hedging, financing, and risk management objectives. Responsibilities
Structure and execute tailored solutions across Funding, FX, Rates, and Derivatives for LATAM onshore financial institutions and sovereign clients along with LATAM-focused offshore funds. Drive idea generation and develop bespoke structures aligned to client objectives, including hedging, liability management, cash flow optimization, and balance sheet strategy. Partner closely with Sales/Coverage, Trading, Treasury/Funding, Risk, Legal, and Compliance to deliver end-to-end execution from origination through post-trade support. Prepare client-facing and internal materials including pitches, scenarios, payoff explanations, and approvals documentation. Maintain strong knowledge of LATAM market dynamics, including rates, FX drivers, cross-currency funding considerations, and local market conventions. Support pricing discussions by coordinating with trading desks and ensuring structures are appropriately designed, documented, and risk managed. Ensure adherence to internal policies, suitability frameworks, and all applicable local regulations and conduct standards. Qualifications
3+ years of relevant experience in structuring and/or markets solutions for financial institutions, sovereign clients and offshore LATAM-focused funds. Demonstrated experience across Funding, Derivatives, Rates, and FX, including building and executing structured solutions. Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and execute accurately in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of product mechanics, pricing fundamentals, and risk considerations, with the ability to communicate clearly to internal stakeholders and senior client contacts. Fluency in Spanish is required; Portuguese is a plus. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and commercial judgment. High integrity, disciplined risk mindset, and strong attention to detail.
