
National Sales Manager - Process Cooling & Energy Conversion

Overview
National Sales Manager - Process Cooling & Energy Conversion Your role: Reporting to the Business Line Manager – OFA USA, lead the business development & growth efforts in the United States and drive sales of our product portfolio of Process cooling and Energy Conversion equipment. Focus on sustainability and growing customer share at each facility to become the preferred supplier. Responsibilities
Manage a team responsible for the sale of industrial coolers and chillers, heat pumps, steam compressors, and other energy conversion products that may be added for new greenfield or brownfield industrial projects, directly or with the existing sales team. Collaborate with other equipment sales teams and aftermarket sales colleagues to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction. Stay updated on industry regulations, energy policies, and government incentives for decarbonization and industrial energy efficiency. Achieve or exceed assigned customer share growth targets by developing and implementing action plans (e.g., plant surveys, report preparation, and savings documentation). Establish sustainable rapport within the area of responsibility by maintaining regular contact with sales team colleagues and existing/new customers. Ensure the Process Cooling & Energy Recovery team responds promptly to customer inquiries, introduces capabilities and products, studies customer needs, and coordinates customer service. Continuously update job knowledge through educational opportunities, reading professional publications, networking, and participating in professional organizations. Prepare reports related to activity, lost orders, closings, follow-up, and performance against targets and forecasts. Maintain all field activity in the company CRM portal, including appointments, opportunity creation, proposal generation, pricing approvals, project notes, and pipeline management. Prepare and present proposals, negotiate pricing, and participate in negotiating legal and credit terms. Oversee customer services through quality checks and follow-up; help identify and resolve customer concerns. Maintain a professional image, projecting knowledge, professionalism, and customer orientation. Support the company’s reputation and brand by upholding core values of commitment, interaction, and innovation. Develop sales materials, exhibits, and promotional programs for exhibits, conferences, meetings, and other opportunities. Prepare a yearly territory business plan with analysis of market segments, products, applications, and competitive landscape. Perform duties in accordance with Atlas Copco standards and focus on meeting customer needs. Take appropriate actions and maintain communications with necessary stakeholders to get the job done. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements
Experience 10+ years of experience in thermal management product solutions (steam boilers/system systems, heat pumps, thermodynamics, thermal integration), including preferably 5+ years managing high-performance sales teams. Knowledge Strong technical and commercial acumen to translate product capabilities into customer benefits. Excellent presentation and communication skills for internal and external stakeholders. Analytical mindset with experience in market research, competitive analysis, and pricing strategies. Proficiency in MS Office, CRM software, and digital marketing tools. Education Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, thermal & power engineering, chemical engineering, business, or equivalent experience. Personality Customer-oriented and results-driven; strong communication, interpersonal, and managerial skills. Team player with pro-active, adaptable, and professional attitude. Ability to establish relations across organizational levels and cultures; customer and business oriented. Ethical, respectful, and committed to deadlines and quality. Benefits
