Producer, Experiential Marketing

Small Girls PR, an Orchestra company, Los Angeles, CA, United States

Overview Small Girls PR is looking for a Producer to support the Experiential service line. You will help SGPR grow its reputation as the go-to agency for exciting and out-of-the-box experiential production. This role will lead production from concept through client sell-in, pre-production, and onsite production, often independently. The experiential team covers events, press and influencer trips, trade shows, mailers, consumer hotlines, and brand partnerships, and the team will bring ideas from page to reality. This role is based in our LA (Atwater Village) office, with a hybrid schedule of two in-office days per week.

Responsibilities

Collaborate on experiential production with internal press and influencer marketing teams.

Produce programs for clients across multiple verticals, including beauty, fashion, hospitality, tech, food & beverage, retail, and more (B2B and B2C).

Manage programs independently, including client management: scheduling calls, setting agendas, preparing materials, presenting or leading calls, and capturing notes and next steps.

Develop concepts and design for floor plans, guest flow, photographable moments, and details—sometimes independently and sometimes with an Experiential Designer.

Brief and oversee designers, fabricators, and art directors to realize your vision. Develop and manage budgets, timelines, vendor sourcing, hiring, and management. Projects may include 100-person private product previews, influencer trips, mobile trucks, mailers, and more.

Serve as the primary client contact on owned projects. Anticipate needs, think on your feet, navigate challenging situations, and build strong client relationships.

Collaborate with senior production colleagues on large-scale productions, including concepting onsite activations, vendor sourcing, permits, and fabrication management.

Furnish original experiential concepts that align with client and agency goals, creating shareable moments and lasting memories.

Contribute to pitches and activation decks, including visuals and design; AI tools are welcome; 3D rendering ability is a plus.

Support business development by upselling to your client roster and assisting colleagues in cross-selling experiential work, including feasibility reviews and client deck development.

Pitch new business opportunities, develop proposals, and present to prospects, for standalone experiential projects or integrated work with the agency's press and influencer teams.

Understand the agency’s service lines to deliver integrated programs and design experiences for press and influencer audiences.

Qualifications

You have 4+ years of experiential production experience and have overseen events with budgets of around $200k, with the ability to allocate client budgets for maximum impact and collaborate with finance teams.

You have experience producing events on your own and understand what makes an experience enticing, shareable, and memorable.

You can collaborate across specialties to develop integrated programs and can discuss earned press and influencer marketing at a high level with clients.

You communicate professionally with clients and can drive meetings, handling strategy, event logistics, and budgets.

You can mentor junior production staff and review their work, teaching new skills.

You create decks that convey original event ideas aligned with client goals and can independently create floor plans, mockups, and mood boards.

You have a track record of managing multiple projects, staying detail-oriented, and adapting to changing client priorities while handling complexity and new challenges.

You can travel regularly for site visits and event days, including occasional non-standard hours.

You maintain a list of preferred vendors, venues, and freelancers for various projects.

You are willing to get hands dirty to ensure event quality, including lifting and moving objects up to 50 lbs and handling setup/strike logistics and overnight installs.

You may have a driver’s license due to occasional local transportation needs, including rentals for load-ins.

You stay informed about trends, communities, partnerships, and events to generate campaign ideas that connect to client initiatives.
