Overview

The Communication Specialist will support the development and delivery of communication strategies that keep employees informed, engaged and aligned with the Bank’s goals and values. This role is ideal for a strong writer and creative thinker who is passionate about helping teams stay connected and foster a positive employee experience. Responsibilities

Coordinates internal communications that occur within the bank. Assist in drafting, editing and distributing internal communications such as emails, newsletters, announcements, intranet posts, leadership messages and organizational updates. Assist in telling the Sovereign Bank story on social media including products and services. Write, copy edit, proofread and revise communications content as necessary, including but not limited to products and services internal communications. Prepare strategic internal communication plan for the bank to include press releases. Ensure all internal messaging aligns with Sovereign Bank’s brand voice, values and strategic goals. Culture story blasts – internal and external will be expected. Recommend what information should be presented to employees and time the release of information to coordinate with company events and initiatives. Support planning and execution of internal events, State of the Bank and employee engagement initiatives. Work with appropriate departments and management to publish timely information. Keep employees engaged in bank initiatives with consistent messaging and internal human-interest stories and customer success stories. May plan and deliver education courses and materials. Communicate V/TO and EOS information internally. Measure and present results of communication efforts. Provide courteous and timely assistance to all customers, both internal and external. Other duties assigned. Qualifications

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced, diverse, and growth-oriented environment Strong analytical skills Maintains customer confidentiality Knowledge of relevant banking regulations Education And Experience

Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred Highschool education or equivalent At least 2 years of Communications or Public Relations experience preferred Proficient in Microsoft products Physical Demands
