Summary
As the Marketing and Communications Intern, you’ll support the marketing team in telling the organization’s story through digital content, campaigns, and community engagement. This role offers hands-on experience across marketing, communications, and brand support while contributing to meaningful work that connects people to programs, services, and impact. Essential Functions
Assist with creating content for social media, email, website, and print materials Support graphic design projects using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite Help draft copy for posts, newsletters, event promotions, and campaigns Schedule and publish social media posts across platforms Assist with website updates and content management Assist in tracking metrics such as engagement, reach, click-through rates, and growth Help track deadlines and deliverables Support special marketing projects and events as assigned Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or other related field Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Creative and detail-oriented, with strong communication and organizational skills. Collaborative and team-focused. Willing to learn and take initiative. Comfortable receiving feedback and revising work. Meets deadlines and communicates when a project may be delayed. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer Frequent use of standard office equipment, including computers, phones, printers, and scanners Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with staff, volunteers, and external contacts Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching within the office environment Ability to lift and carry light office materials or event supplies (up to 20 pounds) on an occasional basis Ability to attend and support on-site or off-site events as needed This position is mainly in an office or hybrid work setting. Limited exposure to noise or environmental hazards. May occasionally require attendance at events that involve standing for long periods and light setup or breakdown activities.
