We’re seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our HR team. Reporting to the Vice President of Culture and Talent Development, this role is responsible for the implementation and administration of all HR programs. You will serve as a strategic partner to management and employees, overseeing all core human resources functions. The HR Business Partner will provide leadership and guidance to their team, specifically supervising the HR Coordinator, and will be instrumental in fostering a positive, productive, and compliant work environment in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and best practices for California.

What we will ask you to do
Attract and recruit top talent
Conduct new hire onboarding and orientations
Facilitate the performance management process
Manage employee lifecycle transactions within the HRIS, including onboarding, job changes, compensation updates, and offboarding
Ensure data integrity, audit readiness, and compliance through regular HRIS reviews and reconciliations
Manage compensation and benefit programs
Act as an advisor on human resources issues to managers and all levels of employees throughout the company, ensuring positive communication and education
Plan events and programs to maintain employee morale including but not limited to: employee appreciation month, employee wine giveaways, all department employee events, employee recognition and anniversaries
Develop and facilitate employee trainings
Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws such as ADA, FMLA, and ADEA
Be a dependable extended family member
What you should bring to the table
At least five years of HR experience with progressive people leadership strategies.
Two years of supervisory experience preferred
PHR/SPHR certification preferred
Experience with the HRIS UKGReady preferred
Proven ability to influence others to drive organizational change
Advanced experience in recruiting and retention practices
Knowledge of employee benefit programs and offerings
Thorough knowledge of California state and federal laws pertaining to HR
Ability to work independently and execute job responsibilities with limited guidance and supervision
Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Passion, enthusiasm, focus, creativity, and a positive outlook
