The Global Tech Strategy & Engagements manager serves as the strategic architect of AGS Tech's global portfolio strategy and thought partner to the AGS Tech Leader on enterprise-wide business and investment decisions. This senior leadership role directs forward-looking execution of business priorities, working with the AGS Tech Leader to make the organization faster, smarter, and more aligned. The role translates portfolio strategy into real outcomes by guiding people, enabling good decision-making, and coordinating conversations to ensure issues are addressed before they become problems. The position requires up to 50% travel and must be based at an AWS Hub Location. This role manages the engagement team and connects Finance, HR, Operations, and technical leadership to own outcomes that matter for AGS Tech.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Customer Engagement & Business Development

Prioritize and orchestrate high-impact customer meetings in coordination with senior leadership to maximize business outcomes

Guide and oversee complex engagements with enterprise customers, ensuring appropriate next steps, follow-through, and accountability across direct and indirect organizations

Drive new business development, grow and sustain existing relationships, and oversee strategic follow-up for AWS's largest customers

Participate in executive-level customer meetings, determine attendee slate, consolidate actions, and ensure timely execution across matrixed stakeholders

Engagement Strategy & Framework Development

Develop and scale KPIs, metrics, and dashboard frameworks to measure engagement effectiveness

Identify target audience segments and enact tactics to improve penetration and engagement among priority customer groups

Create comprehensive frameworks to communicate with targeted audiences in partnership with leaders across the organization and broader Amazon ecosystem

Analyze data to understand customer behavior and identify actionable insights that drive customer value

Executive Narrative & Strategic Amplification

Shape strategic direction and executive narrative at VP level, influencing external and internal perception

Own the strategic framing of VP-level engagements, ensuring customer interactions, executive briefings, and industry forums amplify AGS Tech's direction and impact

Elevate engagements from event execution to strategic business conversations with measurable differentiation

Develop an executive narrative that translates AGS Tech's portfolio strategy into compelling value propositions for customers, partners, and internal stakeholders

Ensure engagement content aligns with the global portfolio strategy and highlights enterprise-level impact

Position AGS Tech's capabilities as a strategic business advantage through thought leadership and executive storytelling

Strategic Business Integration & Cross-Functional Leadership

Counsel the AGS Tech Leader and directors on strategy and cross-field impact

Serve as the strategic thought partner on enterprise-level decisions, enabling portfolio-level tradeoffs grounded in measurable impact

Partner with Finance to translate strategy into investment models, business cases, and funding frameworks

Define capability and talent strategy to enable portfolio execution, coordinating with HR and Operations

Act as enterprise integrator across geo leaders and key stakeholders to ensure roadmaps drive measurable outcomes

Develop strategic frameworks for data-driven prioritization of initiatives across the global organization

Enterprise Portfolio Strategy & Investment Management

Own organization-wide portfolio architecture and strategic investment decisions across AGS Tech

Design and institutionalize the global portfolio strategy architecture to enable prioritization, tradeoffs, and impact visibility

Define strategic investments that guide capital, talent, and capability allocation across geos

Create enterprise-wide decision frameworks for sequencing major initiatives and assessing portfolio health

Drive cross-geo alignment to reflect global direction and integrate across geo leaders

Provide forward-looking insight into portfolio evolution, competitive positioning, and differentiation opportunities

Program & Project Management

Support and lead strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects

Plan and facilitate leadership offsites, prioritizing messaging and presentation development

Manage multiple high-profile projects concurrently across distributed stakeholders

Oversee cross-channel go-to-market strategy execution

Lead VP-level leadership forums and strategic planning sessions with clear agendas and outcomes

Develop and track engagement and portfolio KPIs, metrics, and dashboards

Team Leadership

Manage a team of strategists, planners, and engagement professionals

Foster an inclusive culture through initiatives, training, and communications

Develop talent and build organizational capability in strategic engagement

Coordinate Finance, HR, Operations, and technical leadership around shared priorities

Build capability in executive communications and portfolio management

Basic Qualifications 7+ years of large-scale IT deployment or program experience

7+ years of leading large-scale, technical or engineering programs with thought leadership, business case development, customer benefits realization, and successful completion

7+ years of technology role experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Operations Research, or a related field

Knowledge of distributed applications and the engineering lifecycle from conception to delivery

Experience in leading large-scale, technical or engineering programs with thought leadership, business case development, customer benefits realization, and successful completion

Preferred Qualifications Experience implementing AWS/cloud services

Experience in a customer-facing role engaging with customer executives, technologists, or partners to solve business problems with advanced technologies

Experience managing large technical programs, particularly at high-growth startups or large enterprises

Experience working in a sales organization

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
