Job Summary/Basic Function
Career Services is looking for a creative, positive, and highly motivated individual to assist with marketing campaigns, career events, social media, and email marketing.
Additional responsibilities will include assisting the Events & Communication Coordinator in developing and facilitating a communication/marketing plan, planning and organizing the Career Champions program and banquet, connecting with employers and other on-campus departments, and collecting/analyzing data.
The schedule is flexible, requiring approximately 15-20 hours per week in office.
Required Qualifications
Strong project management and communication skills are required. Must have excellent interpersonal/teamwork skills and be comfortable doing written and face-to-face outreach on a regular basis.
This position is 50/50 eligible, student must be enrolled full-time and maintain a 2.0 GPA in order to qualify. Receiving WSU credit for any internship or work experience requires prior approval from your academic department.
Preferred Qualifications
GPA > 3.0 strongly preferred. Previous marketing experience and/or a major in marketing, communication, public relations, advertising or related is preferred. Experience with social media and content creation (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, Reels, Video Editing, etc.) is a plus.
