“I can succeed as a Senior Writer – Gatekeeper at Capital Group.” As a Senior Writer, you join our broader Marketing team as part of the Value Beyond Investing organization to produce creative, customized thought leadership content for the gatekeeper and institutional audiences. You will collaborate with various internal stakeholders, such as portfolio managers, industry analysts and other subject matter experts to create and curate institutional‑caliber thought leadership content. You are comfortable writing about global equity and debt markets, alternatives, portfolio construction, asset allocation, risk management, and related subjects for a sophisticated audience. You are ready to use your experience writing about these topics to create white papers, articles, presentations, and promotional content that showcase the depth of Capital Group’s capabilities for institutional investors, plan sponsors, consultants and gatekeepers.

You have a minimum of 10 years of experience as a writer and editor.
You have solid foundational knowledge of the investment industry and retirement plans.
You have built a portfolio of financial‑services or investment‑asset‑management related editorial content that showcases superb writing skills and the ability to distill and synthesize complex ideas into clear prose.
You work quickly and are used to turning out high‑quality content on a daily basis.
You have demonstrated an interest in being part of a marketing and sales organization. You are eager to learn about our products, marketing strategy and the needs of our audiences, and will use that information to develop and shape your content.
You thrive in team settings. You have worked previously with stakeholders to develop content on products and trends in the financial services industry.
You are digitally savvy. You have a good understanding of digital tools, best practices, and channels, such as social media, podcasts, YouTube, search and content marketing.
You are an omnichannel content creator. You have experience appearing on podcasts and YouTube, and you are a skilled interviewer of podcast guests.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $159,354–$254,966
New York Base Salary Range: $168,924–$270,278
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
