Overview To design and develop basic to moderately complex multimedia elements (graphics; animations; audio; video and print) to support employee learning and development initiatives and business unit objectives across the organization. To create courseware to meet business unit training needs and enhance the employee learning experience. To provide multimedia services to help deliver key communications and enable greater productivity. A requirement of this position is you must be currently enrolled in college level courses or a degree‑seeking program throughout the duration of the internship. Responsibilities Create animations Create dynamic instructional and training materials using current technologies including references and support tools that reinforce training, increase efficiency and help produce error‑free work Create original designs for training curriculum, job aids, web graphics, presentations, brochures/catalogs/flyers, web designs, videos, and logos/icons Design the graphical user interface; create and/or enhance images and video and audio formats; convert analog movies to digital format Develop and create print design and support materials including posters, banners, job aids and signage (branding), etc. Research emerging technologies and recommend solutions that align with business goals Collaborate with a wide range of internal business contacts to implement processes, new applications and system enhancements Ensure clear, concise and effective communication of material Maintain and improve knowledge through professional associations, conferences, and seminars Monitor assigned projects to ensure that goals and objectives are completed according to schedule; collaborate with project teams to ensure all business needs are met Serve on teams and task groups for projects/initiatives within the business unit &/or across the organization Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Must be pursuing a degree in Graphic Design or related field from an accredited college/university Experience in creating animations and interactive elements in animation software Experience in developing graphical user interfaces Experience in recording/editing audio, video, and digital photographs for e‑Learning courseware and other media formats Working knowledge of media principles, including an understanding of the uses and advantages/disadvantages of different media channels Experience in managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals Effective organizational, planning and time management skills Effective research, analytical, and problem‑solving skills Effective skill capturing and translating processes and requirements into easily understood terms Effective skill communicating with all levels within an organization Effective skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions Effective verbal and written communication skills A portfolio or samples of design work is required Desired: Experience in multimedia development and production, preferably in a corporate setting Desired: Experience in working and participating in cross‑functional, multi‑dimensional teams and projects Desired: Working knowledge of training techniques and practices About Us Navy Federal provides much more than a job.
