The Senior SEO Specialist is expected to set the standard for SEO quality, guide junior team members, and serve as an internal authority on search strategy and best practices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop, own, and execute comprehensive local SEO strategies tailored to client growth goals. Conduct in-depth keyword research, competitor analysis, and backlink evaluations to inform strategy. Perform technical and on-page SEO audits; track keyword rankings, analyze website traffic, and identify optimization opportunities. Build and manage Google Business Profile (GBP) optimization strategies, including citation building and local presence management. Write and optimize website and blog content for engagement, local relevance, and conversions. Collaborate with internal content, development, and design teams to implement SEO strategies efficiently. Monitor algorithm updates and industry trends; proactively test and implement new SEO tactics. Senior-Level Responsibilities Serve as the internal SEO subject matter expert and a resource for the broader team. Coach and mentor junior SEO team members — providing feedback, guidance, and hands‑on support to develop their skills. Conduct peer reviews of SEO strategies, audits, and deliverables to uphold quality standards. Contribute to the development of internal SOPs, SEO frameworks, and best practice documentation.
