Overview

Review, create, submit quality estimates with detailed proposals Prepare high level quantity and manpower take-offs Prospect and procure new opportunities for bid Comprehensively analyze plans, specifications, proposals and additional documentation to prepare bid estimates for projects Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, jobsite walk-throughs, bids, and coordination meetings Must maintain an extremely professional working relationship with clients, subcontractors, and peers Other duties as assigned Requirements
2-4 years commercial construction estimating experience Desire and determination to succeed Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and years of experience Experience with conceptual and schematic design budgeting Computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; knowledge of On-Screen Takeoff preferred Knowledge of construction processes and terminology Ability to read and understand blueprints Excellent math skills Knowledge of different types of flooring used in commercial construction Organizational and time management skills and ability to manage multiple commercial construction projects Ability to fully understand plans and specifications Excellent communication skills; both internal and external Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, teamwork environment Benefits
