This dynamic hybrid role blends driving expertise with customer service and inside sales responsibilities. Responsibilities
Build Relationships: Be the first point of contact for customers, understand their needs, and guide them to the right products. Drive Growth: Actively engage in inside sales, assess customer needs, provide quotes, and leverage problem-solving skills to find solutions. Ensure a Smooth Operation: Keep the store running smoothly, organize merchandise, and process sales with attention to detail for efficient customer experiences. Be a Reliable Backup: Use your Class B CDL to deliver essential gases and welding products when a regular driver is out, forming a critical part of the delivery network. Required Qualifications
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License. Valid Medical Examiner's Card. Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications. Must have one (1) year of prior Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five (5) years and a clean driving record to include no more than two (2) convictions, OR two (2) at-fault accidents in the last three years; OR no more than a combination of one (1) conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last three years. In lieu of experience, may consider accepting a diploma from an accredited driving school and a minimum of one (1) year of prior driving experience within the last five (5) years. Must be at least 21 years or older. Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets. Ability to routinely lift 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment. Must be able to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending is also required. Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines. Must be able to obtain a forklift operator certification. Ability to obtain and maintain necessary safety credentials for customer site access. Minimum of two (2) years of related product and sales experience or training. Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated proficiency in computer use, including data entry and integrated business platforms. Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with sales platforms or the ability to quickly learn new systems like SAP or any other CRM experience or basic knowledge in computer order entry system is preferred. Strong background in the gas, welding, and safety supply industry or chemical industry preferred. Benefits
