Airgas is hiring for an Inside Sales Representative/Relief Driver in Laredo, TX!

Pay: $24 per hour

Monday - Friday, Day Shift, with alternating on call weekends in case of business needs.

Responsibilities

Build Relationships: First point of contact, understanding needs, guiding to right products.

Drive Growth: Inside sales, assisting customers assess needs, providing quotes, problem-solving to find solutions.

Ensure a Smooth Operation: Organizing merchandise, processing sales in system, ensuring efficient customer experience.

Be a Reliable Backup: Class B CDL key; step in to safely deliver essential gases and welding products when regular driver is out, crucial part of delivery network.

Required Qualifications

Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.

Valid Medical Examiner's Card.

Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications.

One (1) year of prior Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five (5) years and a clean driving record (no more than two convictions, OR two at-fault accidents in last three years, or one conviction and one at-fault accident in last three years).

In lieu of experience, may consider accepting a diploma from an accredited driving school and a minimum of one (1) year of prior driving experience within the last five (5) years.

Must be at least 21 years or older.

Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.

Ability to routinely lift 25 – 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 125 lbs with the aid of material handling equipment.

Must be able to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending also required.

Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.

Must be able to obtain a forklift operator certification.

Ability to obtain and maintain necessary safety credentials for customer site access.

Minimum of two (2) years of related product and sales experience or training.

Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated proficiency in computer use, including data entry and integrated business platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with sales platforms or ability to quickly learn new systems like SAP, or any other CRM experience; basic knowledge in computer order entry system is preferred.

Strong background in the gas, welding, safety supply industry or chemical industry preferred.
