EPMO Enterprise Portfolio Manager

Essential Functions Subject to management approval, serves as the Unit A Enterprise Portfolio Manager for the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) with the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT), appraising, planning, and redesigning enterprise business control, resource management, service delivery/support, and reporting in alignment with business value priorities, available resources, and the strategic goals of information technology investments.

Directs, coordinates, and reviews the activities of IT Project teams by reviewing, modifying, and implementing existing EPMO objectives, managing, planning, and aligning both short-term and long-term portfolio management strategies and processes needed to support the approved and funded business plans of DoIT and its customer agencies.

Serves as a EPMO Product Owner, managing and prioritizing product backlog, including backlog planning and refining working sessions and guides product development and scrum teams in implementing a products vision and roadmap.

Serves as full line supervisor.

Researches, appraises, and makes recommendations to management toward the acquisition, development, and maintenance of process related practices, training, and engineering tools or products.

Conducts and leads process-centric orientation sessions with DoIT teams and agency customers to promote enterprise-wide adoption of and compliance with DoIT/business process engineering sanctioned architecture and practice.

Keeps abreast of new developments in the business process engineering, service reporting, and management area.

Performs all other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college with coursework in management information systems, information technology, computer science, or a directly related Information Technology field.

Requires prior experience equivalent to four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or private business Information Technology organization.

Requires three (3) years of professional experience supervising a team of Information Technology professionals in a large and highly complex public or private IT organization.
