Customer Service Representatives receive and respond to calls from customers. The Customer Service Representative will serve as the first point of contact for customers to resolve issues. This role works with a team of customer service representatives to meet overall call center objectives and enhance the customer service function to exceed our customers' expectations.

Responsibilities of Position

Answer phones promptly and courteously utilizing company procedures

Receive and respond professionally and courteously to all customer inquiries

Inquiries may be received via telephone, email, social media, fax or personal contact regarding service level changes, customer inquiries, billing, payments, new customer sign-up, cancellations, etc

Identify customer’s reason for canceling service and attempt to retain customers

Provide information regarding service options, charges, billing, and contract parameters and solutions for customer inquiries

Ensure customer concerns are understood and clearly explain resolution to the customer

Process customer payments and assists customers with RumpkePay as needed

Work in conjunction with other departments to resolve customer issues

Log and record information on customer accounts

Create work orders/interactions, as needed

Work special data entry projects with accuracy and complete in time to meet deadlines

Resolve customer account issues and adjust accounts accordingly with verification from management, as needed

Process online data entry for accounts based designated department

Manage and monitor billing/invoicing, renewals/bids/price increase/tonnage, including maintaining sticker inventory used within contracted areas as needed

Perform other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will not manage employees

Skills & Abilities Needed for Position

Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor

Advanced computer proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office applications and CRM tools

Proven analytical/problem solving skills for the customer and the company

Excellent customer service and data entry skills

Industrial Waste Sales Representatives secure accounts from existing and potential customers by prospecting and generating new business leads. This position requires cold calling on commercial accounts in the field and working with Regional outside sales staff to generate industrial waste sales as well as ensuring disposal compliance.

Responsibilities of Position:

Maintenance of all current industrial waste accounts

Identifies leads, manage prospects, and acquire new business to meet and exceed established revenue goals

Establish professional internal and external customer/vendor relationships with appropriate personnel

Prepare and deliver sales proposals/presentations to key decision makers to close the sale

Propose customer solutions that are compliant with appropriate local, state, and federal regulations

Utilize the company’s CRM tool on a daily basis, scheduling and documenting activities, and developing prospective customer profiles

Maintain prospect information of sales territory

Perform data entry to populate electronic sales orders via the Sales Management System (SMS)

Secure customer signatures on required Customer Service Agreements (unaltered)

Review and submit reports for accuracy and other documentation in a timely manner

Screen incoming waste streams to ensure they meet the requirements of perspective landfill and transfer stations

Initiate and follow through on all waste profiles and re-certifications

Perform credit applications on all prospective customers

Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of Rumpke’s services and pricing structure

Perform other duties as assigned

Municipal & Public Sector Sales Representatives are responsible for renewing existing municipal contracts, while also pursuing any new opportunities within the assigned market. This position prospects, sells, manages, and participates in account management activities to ensure the profitable sales growth of municipalities, government entities, parks, government recreational facilities, department of transportation facilities, public colleges/universities, government institutions, and solid waste districts.

Track current contract information on all existing and new governmental agreements

The Regional Account Representative is responsible for generating revenue growth in new and existing accounts. This position will employ a consultative selling approach to multi-location accounts within Rumpke's footprint. The Revenue Analyst supports the finance team in monitoring revenue performance, ensuring accurate revenue recognition in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and providing meaningful insights to help drive strategic business decisions. Responsibilities of Position:

Map, document, and maintain end-to-end revenue processes (order-to-cash), identifying inefficiencies, control gaps, and opportunities for process improvement and automation

Ensure revenue recognition complies with ASC 606, including evaluation of customer contracts, identification of performance obligations, and revenue timing

Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, and Financial Leadership to review and assess revenue recognition impacts

Drive improvements to existing revenue-related systems (AS400/IPAK, CRM extensions) ensuring accurate data flows and alignment with revenue accounting requirements

Collaborate with IT and systems teams on requirements gathering, user acceptance testing (UAT), and issue resolution for revenue systems enhancements

Perform detailed monthly revenue variance analyses versus prior periods and budgets, clearly identifying key drivers and explaining trends

Analyze revenue performance by product, customer, geography, and contract type to provide actionable insights to finance leadership

Develop and maintain standardized reporting, dashboards, and variance analysis tools to improve visibility into revenue drivers

Reconcile revenue subledgers to the general ledger and investigate discrepancies to ensure data accuracy and completeness or related journal entries

Prepare documentation, schedules, and analyses to support enhanced internal controls and support the external audits process

Continuously improve revenue reporting processes in support of ongoing M&A activity
