Base Pay
This role offers a minimum base pay starting at $15.55 per hour, with potential for higher pay based on your experience.

Purpose:
As a Creative Designer at Floor & Decor, you'll deliver a comprehensive, consultative design service from start to finish, cultivating strong relationships and brand loyalty with our customers. Your role involves meeting with customers, understanding their project needs, educating them about requirements, and crafting unique design concepts tailored to their personal style, lifestyle, and budget.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• At least one (1) year of experience in interior design or prior retail/sales experience
• A degree in Design is advantageous
• Familiarity with hard surface flooring is preferred
• Basic mathematical skills required
• Self-motivated with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office suite
• For internal candidates, a minimum of 12 months in a design consultant role is required

Essential Functions

• Welcome store customers and assist with their design inquiries
• Organize design appointments for existing and prospective clients, while developing clientele through networking, referrals, and in-store leads
• Provide expert advice on tiles, wood, stone, and accessories for residential and commercial projects
• Design and present complete, functional, and visually appealing solutions
• Manage multiple customer projects from start to finish with accuracy and prompt follow-up, ensuring effective communication at all stages
• Collaborate with store leadership and colleagues to oversee projects through inquiries to installation, meeting sales targets and other objectives
• Support company initiatives and goals by demonstrating and promoting best practices among store staff
• Stay updated on current and emerging design trends in your market
• Utilize design applications including Salesforce and the proprietary Online Design Appointment Scheduler
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Some travel may be required by car
• Work environment includes a warehouse setting and exposure to moving vehicles, with a typical noise level ranging from moderate to noisy

Physical/Sensory Requirements
This role requires the ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and 10-25 pounds frequently, to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects. Tasks may also involve using hands for handling, standing, walking, and reaching.

Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Pickup Hours

Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
