Entry-Level Environmental Graphic Designer Location : Beaverton, OR (In-Office preferred, Hybrid negotiable) Employment Type : Full-Time About Us We are a multidisciplinary design and fabrication studio specializing in environmental graphic design and architectural signage. Our work lives at the intersection of design, architecture, and fabrication…bringing clarity, identity, and experience to physical spaces. We collaborate closely across creative, project management, fabrication, and installation teams to deliver thoughtful, well‑crafted environments for mixed‑use, commercial, civic, education, healthcare, hospitality and large‑scale campus projects. The Role We’re seeking an Entry‑Level Environmental Graphic Designer to join our creative team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early‑career designer who is excited to work on real, built projects and wants to learn how design moves from concept to fabrication to installation. You’ll support the design team in developing graphic systems, signage layouts, and environmental applications while gaining hands‑on exposure to production methods, materials, and architectural coordination. What You’ll Do Assist in the design and development of environmental graphics and signage systems Create layouts, elevations, and graphic compositions for interior and exterior environments Prepare design files for internal review, client presentations, and production Revise artwork based on redlines and feedback from clients, architects, and internal teams Support the creation of presentation materials, mockups, and visual studies Organize and maintain design files according to internal standards Collaborate with project managers, fabricators, and installers to understand real‑world constraints and opportunities Learn and apply fabrication‑aware design practices (materials, finishes, mounting methods, ADA considerations, etc.) What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Environmental Design, Visual Communication, or a related field Strong foundational design skills: typography, layout, hierarchy, and visual systems Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (required); familiarity with InDesign and Photoshop preferred Interest in environmental graphic design, signage, wayfinding, or experiential design Ability to take direction, accept feedback, and iterate thoughtfullyStrong attention to detail and file organization Curiosity about how things are made—not just how they look Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset Nice to Have (Not Required) Exposure to architectural drawings (plans, elevations, sections) Familiarity with ADA signage requirements Experience preparing files for print or fabrication Basic understanding of materials like acrylic, metal, vinyl, or digital print Internship or studio experience in signage, exhibit, or environmental design What You’ll Gain Mentorship from experienced environmental graphic designers Exposure to large‑scale, built projects from concept through installation A deeper understanding of fabrication‑driven design Opportunities to grow your role and responsibilities over time A collaborative, respectful studio culture that values craft and clarity How to Apply Please submit to info@centerpointesigns.com Your resume A portfolio (PDF or link) showcasing relevant design work.
