The Content Strategy Director will be working on an enterprise brand positioning, content strategy, messaging framework, and audience-intent-specific taxonomy for a leading insurance brand that will create consistency and efficiency across multiple business units and sub brands. As a Content Strategy Director, you will provide support by understanding, applying and disseminating content best practices as part of a larger, cross-functional team. You collaborate closely with strategy, SEO and client teams to understand and help support client objectives, brand priorities and user requirements. Responsibilities

Review existing content audit and competitive assessment to understand gaps and opportunities, determine best-in-class practices to inform future state content requirements Review site performance and SEO/AEO data insights to inform content recommendations Conduct stakeholder interviews to understand client needs, challenges and gaps, and the complexity of enterprise content management Develop a single, shared brand story and messaging framework that strengthens enterprise brand equity and consistency across business units while guiding audiences to the right solutions Provide enterprise-wide digital content strategy and branded experience recommendations that help clients and their users achieve their goals based on information obtained through site audits, competitive assessments, user testing, site metrics, SEO and agentic search findings and requirements Establish an enterprise content architecture framework that provides guidelines for content creation and reuse to enable consistency and efficiency across entities Define content requirements for audiences and business needs, including but not limited to establishing content purpose, criteria, pillars, themes, topics and search authority domains, depth standards and guidance for AI and human content creation Establish roles, workflows, KPIs, and editorial standards to support consistent content execution Develop taxonomy, tagging and nomenclature strategy to be applied across enterprise and business units for consistent structured data within DAMs and CMSs to drive efficient content deployment and personalization at scale, and to maximize efficiencies and discoverability for marketing and creative teams Standardize classification system (topics, audiences, solutions) with enforced naming conventions and tagging rules across properties Define core entities, their relationships, and canonical definitions to ensure clarity, reuse, and machine legibility Develop an enterprise content playbook and governance guidelines documenting the content strategy and governing how content should be created, organized, maintained, optimized, and localized across markets and business units General skills for potential future content strategy needs: Develop content strategy, planning and POVs for best practice .com and digital marketing experiences Research audience insights and trends to develop consumer-centric content plans across the pre- to post-purchase CEJ Develop Consumer Experience Journey content paths, requirements and content models to inform UX, wireframes and content creation Maintain editorial standards and accuracy/quality of content Create and/or maintain an editorial calendar to align site releases with product launches, seasonal promotions, branded content and more as required Develop creative briefs to inform UX and content creation Leverage AI tools and agents to streamline workload Qualifications

10-12 years of experience in digital content strategy, some in an agency/consulting environment Client-facing C-Suite written and oral presentation experience Experience with Insurance and/or Financial Services vertical preferred Experience and comfort using AI tools and agents, and learning and adopting new tools Experience working with SEO, UX, creative and strategy teams to develop best-in-class content strategy Experience working on B2B and B2C content Experience working with and expert knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager or similar CMS and DAM platforms Exceptional AI prompting, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Figma, Mural, editing and proofreading skills Comfort learning new tools and exploring new innovations in AI, digital platforms and technology Highly collaborative self-starter with demonstrated ability to collaborate with team while working effectively with minimal supervision comfortable making decisions, identifying what activities and deliverable are required to achieve project goals, prioritizing tasks, and rolling up sleeves to both plan and do the work Demonstrates accountability, adaptability and resilience, with proactive, can-do, hands-on approach to problem solving Thrives in a fast-paced environment and consistently delivers high quality work within compressed deadlines Additional Information

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
