The Director of Operations is accountable for the

end‑to‑end performance of service, installation, equipment and chemical operations , ensuring safety, service excellence, profitability, and scalable growth. This role provides senior leadership to operational leaders and is responsible for aligning people, processes, and financial performance to enterprise strategy. The Director of Operations operates at a strategic level—setting direction, building leadership capability, owning operational outcomes, and ensuring consistent execution across service, installation, and equipment operations. Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership and oversight to Service, Installation, Chemical and Equipment Operations through direct leadership of Operations Managers. Establish clear expectations, successful metrics, and accountability for operational leaders. Ensure consistent application of safety, quality, and operational standards across all operational functions. Act as the escalation point for complex operational, customer, or execution challenges. Safety, Quality & Compliance

Champion a safety‑first culture across all field, service, and installation operations. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements across job sites and service environments. Review incident trends and ensure corrective actions are implemented and sustained. Translate enterprise growth strategies into executable operational plans across service, installation, and equipment operations. Balance capacity, capabilities, and cost to support growth while maintaining service reliability and technician utilization. Ensure effective coordination between service dispatch, installation scheduling, and project execution. Lead operational readiness for new offerings, geographic expansion, or volume increases. Ensure company and customer alignment with business reviews focusing on standards for service, installation and customer experience Drive long‑term partnership value through performance reviews, capability alignment, and strategic planning. P&L Ownership & Performance

Own operational P&L performance across all reporting functions. Partner with Finance and Operations leaders to develop budgets, forecasts, and cost‑control strategies. Drive margin improvement through labor optimization, productivity improvements, and disciplined cost management. Review and challenge operational assumptions to ensure profitability and scalability. Develop and coach Operations leaders to build strong leadership capability and bench strength. Ensure succession planning, performance management, and teammate development are actively managed. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and engagement across teams. Model and reinforce company values and leadership behaviors. Champion Lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives across operations. Lead change management for process improvements, system implementations, or organizational growth. Standardize best practices across service, installation, and equipment operations while allowing flexibility where required. Education

Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. Experience and/or Training

7+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, including leadership of leaders. Demonstrated experience owning P&L responsibility and operational metrics. Strong working knowledge of service operations, installation/project execution, and field‑based teams Preferred

Experience in equipment service, construction, or technical field operations. Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement training. Experience operating across multiple operational functions or business units. Technology/Equipment

Understanding of inventory management software, project management software or construction management software and ERP systems Travel Requirement

15-20% regional (Midwest) travel PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS

This role requires continuous speaking and listening skills, both in-person and over the phone. It also requires the ability to stand frequently, sit for extended periods, bend and twist intermittently, and lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally. The role demands the ability to comprehend, apply reasoning, and make decisions continuously. Additionally, it requires frequent use of math skills, including fractions and decimals, and continuous use of a computer. The anticipated hiring range for the role you are applying for is between

$ 140,000

and

$175,000
