POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Product Management (Straumann Dental Implant Solutions and Biomaterials business) to define innovative marketing strategies through analyzing customer insights, brand performance, market trends, and competitive response. This position will develop strategic plans to capitalize on high impact business opportunities within our region through a high performing team of product marketing professionals passionate about the difference we make in patients’ lives. With our broad product portfolio, this position will have the unique opportunity to focus on building our strategy around our Straumann Dental Implant Systems and Biomaterials. This position will report to the VP of Marketing & Education in North America (NAM). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Define and own the overall strategy, vision, and roadmap for Straumann Dental Implant Solutions and Biomaterials business. Manage a team of product management professionals and develop expert knowledge of customer and market requirements, clinical trends and competitor activities through research, conference attendance, and close contact with key opinion leaders (KOLs). Foster strong collaborative working relationships with external and internal customers and positively influence senior management alignment and decisions. Work in synergy with all NAM functions to drive NAM launch excellence and ensure seamless communication. Develop product roadmap that accounts for and integrates company financial objectives, clinical trends, innovations and customer and patient needs. Communicate effectively to ensure alignment around short- and long-term product objectives across departments to ensure the successful launch of new products. Analyze customer insights, brand performance, market trends, and competitive response and develop strategic plans to address key challenges and capitalize on high impact business opportunities. Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing product management team. Champion innovation, seek learnings from the market, create business cases and drive product development and improvement beyond the existing solutions through close interaction with the global headquarters. Collaborate with Marketing Communications to develop campaigns, promotions, and sales enablement tools needed to achieve sales goals. Develop and implement best practices in product development, management, and lifecycle planning. Foster an environment of continuous innovation to maintain Straumann’s competitive edge within the industry. Regularly report on product performance and success metrics to executive leadership and stakeholders. Update product forecasts on a regular basis and collaborate with Finance and Logistics to ensure proper sales projection and supply management. Collaborate closely with the downstream marketing and training departments to ensure the successful launch of new products. MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
This position manages a team of product marketing professionals based in Andover, Massachusetts. PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES (If Applicable)
General office environment with ability to work hybrid 2 days per week. Domestic and International Travel required 20-30%. No special physical demands are required. QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree 10 Years of Experience in Medical Device or Life Sciences Industries Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrates an entrepreneurial mindset to lead overall strategic planning and execution of key marketing deliverables. Proven ability to lead with agility and decisiveness through high performing teams, diverse product lines, while working in a matrixed global environment. Proven ability to promote psychological safety where everyone has a voice and contribution to make. Demonstrated capacity to drive engagement through mentoring team members and fostering professional growth and innovation. Prior marketing experience with a strong focus on customer obsession, message development and marketing analytics; we start with our customer to understand and solve their pain points – their success is our success.
