Overview
A growing, founder-led professional services firm is seeking a
Fractional CFO Advisor
to partner directly with ownership and provide strategic financial leadership during a critical growth phase. This role is intended for an experienced CFO advisor and is
not open to outsourced firms or vendor-based consulting groups . Responsibilities
Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to founders, aligning financial strategy with long-term growth and ownership goals Provide forecasting, financial modeling, and scenario analysis to support scaling decisions Analyze cash flow and working capital, with specific focus on insurance-related revenue and delayed cash receipt cycles Deliver clear, actionable insights into financial performance and business health Partner with existing bookkeeping and tax providers to ensure accurate reporting Recommend improvements to financial processes and controls as the organization grows Communicate effectively with leadership while maintaining strict confidentiality Qualifications
Experience within or supporting the insurance industry Strong strategic and hands-on financial leadership background Ability to align with founder vision and operate as a true business partner Excellent communication and business acumen Fractional availability with periodic onsite presence Technology
QuickBooks (GL) HubSpot (CRM) Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
