Sales Director - Food Safety
The Director of Sales, Food Safety at Procurant is a senior individual contributor role responsible for driving new business growth across North America. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, this position owns the full sales cycle for Procurant Food Safety — our compliance and workflow solution for retail grocery and foodservice operators — and reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in food safety software sales and a track record of displacing incumbent solutions at grocery chains, foodservice operators and perishables distributors.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
Own the full sales cycle for Procurant Food Safety — from prospecting and discovery through demo, proposal, negotiationand close.
Build and manage a healthy pipeline of net-new opportunities within grocery retail, foodservice, and perishables distribution across North America.
Target and engage food safety, operations, and procurement decision-makers at regional and national grocery chains and foodservice operators.
Position Procurant Food Safety against incumbent solutions.
Partner with Business Development and Marketing on outbound campaigns, trade show presenceand account-based strategies.
Maintain accurate pipeline visibility and forecasting in Salesforce.com.
Serve as the voice of the customer, feeding competitive intelligence and market insights back to Product and Marketing.
Represent Procurant at key industry events.
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience, with at least 2 years selling food safety, compliance, or operations technology into grocery retail or foodservice.
Demonstrated success selling against or at a competitor in the food safety software space.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a hunter/new-logo sales role.
Ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder deals involving food safety, IT, operationsand procurement.
Strong working knowledge of food safety regulations — HACCP, FSMA, GAP, GMP — and the operational challenges facing fresh food retailers and foodservice operators.
Based in the Atlanta, GA metro area; willingness to travel across North America as needed.
BA/BS degree in business, marketing, food scienceor a related field.
