Skillset / Experience: Global Payroll Director The Payroll Director oversees the organization’s global payroll operations, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing across all countries of operation. The role leads the development of standardized payroll policies, controls, and systems while partnering with Finance, HR, Benefits, and Global Mobility to support a seamless employee experience. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop the global payroll team Partner with the VP of Financial Shared Services to define priorities and organizational structure Build strong relationships with leadership across Finance, HR, IT, and Global Mobility Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and international payroll regulations Manage payroll tax compliance and regulatory reporting Oversee expat payroll considerations and international statutory requirements Oversee multi-country payroll processing across 65+ countries Ensure accurate and timely payroll cycles, off-cycle payments, and year-end reporting Manage complex compensation elements including bonuses, equity, and commissions Lead payroll system strategy and improvements Oversee platforms such as Dayforce and CloudPay Manage integrations with Oracle Fusion HCM and Oracle Fusion GL Oversee payroll accounting, GL postings, accruals, and reconciliations Coordinate payroll funding with Treasury Support month-end and year-end close processes Manage global payroll vendors and service providers Define KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics Oversee internal controls, audits, and compliance testing
Requirements
15+ years of financial/payroll leadership experience 10+ years in senior management Extensive international payroll expertise Strong experience with global payroll systems Advanced Excel and Power BI Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field CPP preferred
