Are you passionate about storytelling, music, social justice, or local news? Do you want to gain hands‑on experience in radio broadcasting, audio editing, radio programming, and community engagement? Join our team as a Niijii Radio Intern and help uplift voices that matter.
Location: KKWE, Serving White Earth Reservation, Located in Callaway, MN
Hours: Part‑time, flexible schedule 20 – 30 hrs a week
Compensation: Modest stipend
Start Date: Flexible
What You’ll Do:
Assist with live and recorded radio broadcasts
Learn audio editing and production using professional software
Support social media and outreach efforts
Conduct community interviews and research local issues
Help develop content that reflects the voices, culture, and concerns of our community
Ideal Candidates:
Are students or recent grads in media, communications, journalism, or related fields
Are strong communicators and active listeners
Have an interest in grassroots media and community organizing
Are reliable, creative, and eager to learn
(Bonus) Have experience with audio editing tools like Audacity or Adobe Audition
