
Inside Technical Sales Specialist

Overview
Technique, Inc. is looking for an Inside Technical Sales Specialist to join our team at our Jackson, Michigan facility. This role provides an outstanding level of customer service to internal and external customers by responding to inquiries and processing orders in an accurate, timely, efficient, and professional manner. The sales specialist ensures that every customer interaction reinforces that Technique is easy to do business with.
Responsibilities
Audit and enter customer orders – Audit customer purchase orders (POs) and accurately enter them in E2 as orders
Manage PO holds – Maintain all PO HOLD jobs until they are cleared
Distribute routers – Distribute routers to appropriate departments
Distribute acknowledgements – Distribute acknowledgements accordingly
Transfer special notes – Ensure any special notes are transferred to the order
Process CSM purchase orders – Process CSM POs in E2
Maintain duplicate order entry check report – Maintain the duplicate order entry check report to ensure accuracy
Read blueprints and specifications – Read blueprints and understand specifications to support accurate order processing
Prepare and run APQP meetings – Prepare and run APQP meetings to support new product launches
Process inventory adjustments – Process inventory adjustments in E2
Adjust part masters – Adjust part masters in E2 as needed
Maintain blanket POs – Maintain all blanket POs (Katcon, Tenneco Seward, and CNH)
Maintain production part tracker – Maintain the production part tracker
Confirm inventory and finished goods – Confirm all inventory during job material processing and confirm all posted finished goods
Communicate special situations – Ensure special situations are properly communicated to ensure success of orders
Seek continuous improvements – Seek continuous improvements in order entry processes and workflows
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of inside sales experience in a business-to-business or manufacturing environment
Basic to advanced computer skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word
Knowledge of material grades
Ability to read blueprints and understand specifications
Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks
Problem solving skills
Ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to fumes or airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, moving mechanical parts, industrial equipment, vibration, and loud noise
No travel required for this position
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Position Type and Expected Hours This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a minimum of 40 hours per week with overtime as needed. Note: days and hours required may vary. Flexibility is required in all positions.
