Event Marketing Intern

Taft is currently seeking an Event Marketing Intern to join our team in Chicago, IL.
We are seeking an Event Marketing Intern to support our marketing and business development team in executing client-facing events and managing promotional materials for the Chicago office. All Taft employees operate under a “Client First” philosophy—in all things, we seek to provide exceptional service to our clients. This is an entry-level position.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Assisting with the coordination and execution of client-facing events, including venue research, RSVP management, and on-site support.
Preparing event materials such as signage, nametags, presentations, and handouts.
Drafting and posting event details on the firm’s website.
Tracking event attendance and assisting with compiling post-event reports.
Managing and organizing the Chicago promotional item (“swag”) inventory, including quarterly inventory and regular distribution of items.
Supporting local sponsorship administration by collecting guest names, managing marketing materials, and preparing event-related communications.
What We Expect From You:
Experience in events, marketing, or hospitality.
Impeccable verbal and written communication skills with an ability to effectively interact with attorneys and staff.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Problem solving ability and eagerness to pursue new challenges independently or collaborate with a team.
Willingness to jump in on tasks where needed, such as on-site and after-hours event support.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and event marketing tools (CRM systems, Cvent) a plus.
Hours: 35 hours per week during the summer and 15 hours per week during the semester.
We are happy to meet requirements for college credit, if requested.
