We are the epicenter of the innovative startup, small business, and entrepreneurial community located deep in the heart of downtown San Antonio. We empower entrepreneurs to cultivate, shape, and grow new ideas into viable businesses that are ready for the next level of growth. As a staff, we are a small team doing huge things. We are looking to expand our team with a Content Marketing Intern to support our marketing efforts.

Job Overview We are seeking a creative and motivated Content Marketing Intern to join the Geekdom marketing team. As a Content Marketing Intern, you will gain hands‑on experience in content marketing while supporting our Marketing Specialist in engaging and captivating our target audience. You will assist in producing content across our social media, email, and blog platforms while learning the ins and outs of marketing for a startup community. This is an excellent opportunity to build your portfolio and develop real‑world marketing skills in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation Support: Assist in developing written and visual content, including social media posts, blog drafts, graphics, and short‑form videos that align with our brand voice and resonate with our target audience.

Social Media Management: Help create, schedule, and curate engaging content across social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube) and support strategies to grow our online presence.

Event Support & Content Coverage: Assist with event logistics, capture photos and videos during events, and help create promotional content for pre‑ and post‑event coverage.

Video Production: Capture and edit short‑form videos using mobile devices or other available tools for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. No extensive video production experience required, just a willingness to learn and experiment.

Analytics Support: Help track and report on content performance using analytics tools, and contribute ideas for improving engagement based on data insights.

SEO & Email Marketing Assistance: Support the marketing team with basic SEO tasks and assist in drafting email campaigns that educate and engage our community.

Content Calendar Coordination: Help maintain and organize our content calendar to ensure consistent posting and alignment with marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

Strong interest in social media, content creation, and digital marketing.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Creative mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative.

Basic familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.).

Experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) or video editing apps is a plus but not required.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Passion for entrepreneurship, startups, and the San Antonio community is a bonus.
