SEASONAL POSITION
At SeaWorld, we’re passionate about caring for animals. We’ve rescued over 40,000 animals (and counting). We are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and hard-working individuals to become our Ambassadors and play an important part on our team. This is a seasonal role. We are not accepting J-1 Visa students at this time and do not sponsor visas at our park. All candidates must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of their interview and will be required to provide proof of work authorization upon hire. Please ensure you are available to attend an in-person interview at the date and time you select, as exceptions cannot be made to this requirement. As a Sales Ambassador, you’ll deliver exceptional guest service while providing guests with product information and upselling when appropriate. Your “bottom line” will be to ensure guests have a shopping experience that meets and exceeds their expectations. You will: Greet and interact with guests Answer questions and resolve guest issues Assist guests with product information Focus on up-selling and increasing sales Operate cash register Ensure merchandise is properly and accurately price marked Take regular and special inventory counts Minimize losses due to damage or theft Perform stock duties and maintain merchandise counters and displays Keep all assigned areas clean What It Takes To Succeed
At least 16 years of age Ability to work independently with little to no supervision Outgoing personality with strong communication skills Ability to accurately handle cash and learn/use point of sale system Flexibility, dependability and integrity Prior retail sales experience preferred Strong written/verbal communication skills; able to read, write and speak English Availability Requirement
Seasonal Ambassadors must have at least 5 days of unrestricted (12 continuous hrs within operating hours for the area) availability to include both weekend days (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays. Minors who are still in high school must have:
Availability on both weekend days (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays and preferred availability after school during the week while school is in session. Seasonal Ambassadors: 5 days of unrestricted availability (12 continuous hours within the operating hours for the area) to include both weekend days and holidays during peak seasons. Typically when school is not in session (e.g., Spring break, Summer break, Thanksgiving break, Christmas break).
May be scheduled 0-40 hours; scheduled hours vary based on business need. Rehire and Previous Appointments
If you previously worked for our company and are not a current ambassador, please apply on the Rehires Only requisition and do not schedule an interview. Once you have completed the rehire review process, a member of our recruitment team will reach out with next steps. All former employees are required to complete this process to determine their eligibility to return to the company.
