Sr Manger External Affairs & Market Access
Hologic, Inc., Staten Island, NY, United States
Overview
Senior Manager, External Affairs & Market Access – Benelux & Nordic Region
Travel requirements: Up to 40% travel time – fluctuating with business requirements
At Hologic, we are committed to improving and protecting women’s health. As
Senior Manager, External Affairs & Market Access , you will be central to delivering on that commitment and to the success of the Benelux and Nordic region, where frequent guideline shifts, varying reimbursement maturity, complex tender dynamics, and diverse healthcare systems demand the highest clinical standards, while operating under significant budget constraints.
We are looking for a strategic thinker with a strong commercial mindset who is resilient, action-oriented, and energized by building and executing strategy from the ground up. If you are passionate about Women’s Health and thrive in complexity, this is the role for you.
Our ideal candidate is a Women’s Health leader who takes full ownership to shape the external environment and unlock access, advocating credibly with government parties, payers, and the wider healthcare ecosystem, while also driving internal alignment by “changing hearts and minds” and mobilizing teams behind clear priorities. As the reference point for Governmental Affairs and Policy Making, you will engage with government officials, industry associations, scientific societies, expert KOLs, and advocacy groups to influence policies, regulations, and guidelines, and you will deliver impact through disciplined execution and effective management of external partners and consultants.
This is a highly differentiated opportunity across two regions, eight markets, six languages, and multiple healthcare systems. It is ideal for candidates who enjoy diversity, fast learning, and adapting strategies to local realities. The role is grounded in three areas:
Responsibilities
Lead External Affairs by building a high-trust stakeholder network across ministries, payers, HTA bodies, regulators, associations, and scientific societies, and by converting those relationships into country- and business-specific strategies that influence the policy and funding environment.
In parallel, the role anchors the Market Access strategy into practical reimbursement, guideline, and tender plans that are locally executable, closing the “end-to-end story” gap between market changes, business impact, and effective and impactful mitigation strategies.
Leads the HEOR agenda to strengthen market access, policy, and commercial outcomes by translating clinical and operational value into payer- and customer-relevant evidence. Defines the evidence modelling strategy, frames the right questions for HTA bodies, payers, and customers, and ensures high-quality value tools are available for submissions, key account conversation and innovative and value-based contracting.
As such the Senior Manager External Affairs & Market Access works closely with the General Manager, local commercial and marketing team, to align activities with local business reality
Why Join Us?
Opportunity to make a real impact on women’s health
Work with government officials, payers, industry associations, and advocacy groups to influence policy and unlock patient access
What We Expect
Advanced degree in health sector (Pharm D, MBA, Master, PhD)
Experienced in leading strategic Market Access initiatives in Medical Device, Pharma, or Diagnostics
Deep understanding of healthcare systems, reimbursement processes, and health economics in the EMEAC region
Proficient in health technology assessment, economic modelling, and value communication
Excellent communicator with strong negotiation and leadership skills
Proactive, resilient, and comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a diverse team
High integrity and commitment to compliance
If you are energized by diversity, fast learning, and the opportunity to shape the future of women’s health, we want to hear from you!
