Catering Events Sales Coordinator – Full Service Division

We’re looking for an energetic and relationship-driven sales coordinator to join our Full-Service Division. In this fast-paced and rewarding role, you\’ll be the primary point of contact for clients, guiding them through every step of the event planning process, from first inquiry to flawless execution. As a member of our collaborative sales team, you’ll be selling the full suite of Catering by Michaels’ offerings to both existing and new clients, while also cultivating relationships with venues, vendors, and industry professionals. Build and grow a robust client base through networking, relationship building, and exceptional service Manage all aspects of the sales cycle: lead intake, proposal and menu development, tastings, event details, contracts, invoicing, and post-event follow-up Attend client events and tastings to ensure a seamless experience Collaborate closely with culinary, operations, and production teams to deliver flawless events Represent Catering by Michaels at industry and networking events Maintain a strong knowledge of food, beverage, and event trends to inspire clients and upsell creatively Stay current on competitors’ offerings and industry best practices Perform other duties and work on special projects as assigned What You Bring to the Table
3+ years of successful high-volume off-premise catering or event sales experience Degree in hospitality, business, or related field (or equivalent work experience) Strong passion for food, beverage, and events—you consider yourself a “foodie” and love sharing that enthusiasm with clients A proven track record of building relationships and exceeding client expectations Experience working with sales software (Caterease a plus) Ability to sell and manage events ranging from 10 to 1,000+ guests Strong organizational and multitasking skills A polished, professional demeanor and comfort representing the brand externally Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays Understanding of the full BEO process Bonus Points For
Active membership in professional hospitality or catering organizations and associations Knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook Physical & Travel Requirements
Local travel required, with occasional out-of-area or overnight events Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods during events Why Join Us?
