
Business Development Manager - Multifamily Property Management

The Role
We’re hiring a
Business Development Manager
to generate, pursue, and close new property management opportunities, with a strong emphasis on
multifamily and lease‑up communities .
You’ll own the full pursuit cycle: identifying opportunities, building relationships, developing proposals and presentations, and closing deals. All while working closely with leadership to position Alpha competitively in the market.
What You\'ll Do
Own the full business development lifecycle for new multifamily management opportunities
Identify and pursue
ground‑up developments, lease‑ups, and newer Class A properties
Build and leverage an existing network of developers, owners, and industry contacts
Develop pitch decks, proposals, and presentation materials
Lead in‑person and virtual pitches and negotiations
Close new management agreements and grow Alpha’s client portfolio
Work closely with company leadership to help establish a repeatable BD process
Operate autonomously with clear accountability for results
Ideal Candidate Required
3–5+ years of relevant experience
Direct experience in
multifamily property management
(non‑negotiable)
Proven success as a
closer
in business development or a similar sales role
Strong presentation and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Active professional network within the multifamily industry
Nice to Have
Experience competing with large third‑party management firms
Background pitching
ground‑up developments or lease‑up communities
Student housing property management or business development experience
Experience helping build or scale a sales or business development function
Compensation
$100,000-$125,000/annual OTE. Compensation includes base salary + commission (no cap)
