Overview
Leidos Chief Information Office, reporting through the Digital Modernization sector, is seeking a
Sr. Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Analyst . In this role, you will be responsible for the analysis and evaluation of user business problems and the development of system recommendations to meet requirements. You will analyze current business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems. To be successful, you should have a forward-thinking mindset and a strong desire to continuously improve processes, identify opportunities for automation, and enhance data quality, compliance, and operational efficiency. Additionally, you also must be able to communicate system and process input requirements, output requirements, and execute testing activities and system controls.Within this framework, the Sr. HAM Analyst applies these responsibilities specifically to
hardware asset management processes
and
ServiceNow HAM Pro
capabilities, while staying compliant and aligned with industry best practices.
Location This position offers full time telework from any U.S. based location.
Citizenship U.S. citizenship is required.
Primary Responsibilities
Drive system enhancements by contributing to requirements definition, design reviews, testing, and implementation activities throughout the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Take ownership of hardware asset management processes, services, and capabilities across the full asset lifecycle
Ensure accurate and timely hardware asset records in ServiceNow HAM Pro, including owner, location, lifecycle state, and asset model data
Prescribe a governance framework to managing hardware asset models (infrastructure and network gear), end-of-life data, and capital asset attestations
Possess a deep understanding of ServiceNow HAM Pro, including asset lifecycle management, asset model creation and normalization, procurement integration points, and hardware lifecycle workflows.
Configure and maintain asset models, managing model categories, and ensure accurate relationships between hardware models, assets, and Configuration Items (CIs).
Demonstrate strong understanding of the ServiceNow data model, including core tables such as asset, ci, model category, and related lifecycle, financial, and inventory tables.
Analyze and validate field mappings, reference relationships, and dependencies between asset records and CMDB records.
Understand data ingestion and mapping mechanisms including imports, transform maps, data sources, and integration feeds that create or update asset and CI records.
Troubleshoot data inconsistencies across HAM and CMDB by analyzing table structures and field attributes, reference qualifiers, business rules and workflows, Flow Designer automations, or data reconciliation logic
Demonstrate familiarity with ServiceNow reporting and querying capabilities, including creation of advanced list filters, encoded queries, and dashboards to validate data integrity and support audit requirements.
Support system enhancements that impact asset tables, CI tables, and associated workflows, including participation in requirements validation, technical design review, test case development, and UAT execution.
Oversee end-to-end hardware asset management processes and procedures in a clear, auditable manner, including process flow diagrams
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience. Equivalent relevant experience and certifications may be considered in lieu of degree.
Proven experience working with
ServiceNow HAM Pro.
Strong understanding of the relationship between
IT Assets and Configuration Items (CIs) .
Technical aptitude to participate in
SDLC
activities including requirements, design reviews, testing, and implementation support.
Forward-thinking mindset with the ability to identify process improvement and automation opportunities.
Familiarity with
major hardware vendors
(e.g., Dell, HP, IBM, Cisco).
Knowledge of
Finance and Procurement concepts , including depreciation, netbook value, fixed assets, and sourcing.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality results.
Preferred Qualifications
ServiceNow HAM Pro certification
IAITAM Asset Management certification
Experience supporting ServiceNow enhancements, workflows, or integrations
Exposure to ServiceNow automation capabilities (e.g., Flow Designer, workflows, business rules)
Advanced data analysis and reporting skills (Excel)
Experience supporting audits through process documentation and evidence preparation
