Position Description: Strom Law Firm is recuiting for a Legal Intake Specialist to join our team. The legal intake specialist position serves as the initial point of contact for potential clients and is responsible for interviewing and evaluating prospective cases to determine if they meet the initial case screening criteria of the firm. This is a full-time, on-site position located at our office in Columbia, SC. The Intake Specialist will be responsible for handling client intake calls, gathering information to assess potential cases, and providing excellent initial client service. Day-to-day tasks include conducting interviews with prospective clients, verifying and documenting case-related details, and ensuring a smooth transition into the legal representation process. Responsibilities

Conducting initial client consultations via telephone, in person, via email or text to gather initial contact and case information from prospective clients. Collecting initial screening information and evaluating prospective clients’ claims to determine whether they fall within the firm’s areas of practice and case qualification criteria Conducting basic research to investigate whether prospective clients’ claims have merit. Scheduling initial consultation appointments with attorneys for promising potential candidates. Entering new prospective leads into the lead tracking system and conducting initial conflict searches for the firm. Mailing out intake packets and other relevant paperwork to prospective clients. Tracking, documentation and follow-up of potential leads. Onboarding new clients by completing necessary paperwork and putting together initial case files. Entering client information into the legal case management systems. Networking with law firms in other areas of specialty to grow referrals. Performing other administrative support tasks as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The person in this position should be friendly, approachable and have a positive attitude. The intake specialist must always maintain a high level of professionalism and be able to communicate with prospective clients in an empathetic manner. Job Requirements
